| What the bad guys do:
After years of consulting our clients the vast majority of which are/were attorneys we found a serious disconnect between what internet advertising cost and what it should cost. We have spent years helping our customers get the best rates on all types of media including internet advertising.
With the explosion of the internet we saw these greedy large corporations charging outrages amounts for ads. In the beginning many of these large corporations told clients to buy ads directly from them (sites like the yellowpages.com). Then when their customers starting forming their own search campaigns by buying ads from google, yahoo, bing and the other search engines (because it was a better ROI) they jumped on that band wagon by becoming “authorized resellers”. This was a way for them get their foot in the door and add a mark up for “Pay Per Click (PPC)” advertising since they couldn’t compete with the search engines. Charging sometimes 60%+ higher costs per click then if you bought directly from the search engines to begin with.
These corporations are still charging hundreds of dollars for banner ads and priority listings on their sites. You might pay $200-600/month to be listed under “personal injury attorneys” and then another $200-600/month to be listed under “personal injury law” and then another $200-600/month to be listed under “attorneys. This never ends they will charge you until you don’t have any more money.
They claim millions of visitors to their site and this is true. But they also have thousands of categories from attorneys to plumbers. And even hundreds of categories inside attorneys. When broken down category by category if you are a Divorce Attorney in Simi Valley, CA you will probably only have hundreds of “impressions” every month. Don’t forget “impressions” are often the same potential clients going back and forth through the pages and its counts it as an “impression” evertime they reload the same page. Lets not forget you are competing with every other attorney in your city. When broken down your potential market becomes only a few clients a week.
What they really don’t want you to know is that the majority of their traffic for these sites is STILL generated from google, yahoo, bing and the other search engines. There are fewer and fewer percentage of people ever year type in theirdomain.com to search for attorneys. In fact to get people to go directly to their site instead of using the search engines they spend hundreds of millions of dollars every year and they still don’t even come close to the amount of traffic generated by the search engines. Where do you think they get the money for that?
What we do:
Our network is more than a few banners and ads put together. We own/build/maintain hundreds of websites that use the data from the Free Attorney Guide database. Each one of our sites targets a specific type of law. This enables your clients to more easily access your law firms information from tens of thousands of sources and millions of search term variations.
We generate traffic the same way the big boys do. In fact when it comes to people searching they do not have access to any advantage that we don’t.
We drive traffic to our site specifically for attorneys and we never have more than 20 attorneys immediately listed on our site for any cities and type of law. This includes banner ads and priority listings. This means if we have 1000 visitors a month to our Jacksonville, fl domestic violence section that you are only competing with a maximum of 20 other lawyers for that click.
This is the reason that we do something that the big boys would never do. For anyone willing to spend at least $200 a month with our network we will buy a separate domain, pay to host and maintain that domain, optimize that domain and GARUNTEE at least an average of 500 visitors a month over 12 months to your page. That means the page the only has your law firm listed on it. Not “impressions” but actual clicks for your law firm.
We track these statistics using Googles analytics program and you have access to them.
